Control Services Australia (CSA) are suppliers of the world's largest rock splitter for excavation of hard rock.
No noise. No vibration.

CSA are exclusive distributors of Yamamoto Rock Splitter products in Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Region. Yamamoto Ultra Large Rock Splitter is specifically designed for excavation of large volumes of hard rock. The splitters are designed based on the wedge principle and are the largest of its kind in the world.
Using explosives or large rock breakers are the normal methods for the excavation of hard rock. Increased regulatory controls and restrictions on blasting are getting harder to comply with and the use of rock breakers is not always feasible due to vibration, noise restrictions or simply the rock being too hard to break. Yamamoto ultra-large rock splitters offer an alternative method for efficient excavation of large volumes of hard rock without the need for explosives, vibration or fly rock.
The rock splitters are used for a wide range of rock excavation applications including open pit excavation, trenches, highway widening, building foundations, shaft-sinking and tunnelling.
The splitter can be mounted from a normal excavator or a crane for open pits or shafts, and mounted on a specialised carrier for horizontal tunnelling. For large volumes of rock, there is simply no mechanical method more efficient, safe and silent than the Yamamoto rock splitter.
The working principle is based on two counter wedges being inserted into a pre-drilled hole. A hydraulic cylinder pushes out the center wedge between the counter wedges to spread them apart and the rock splits.
Key advantages

Safety
Rock splitting is done without any explosives, vibration noise or pollution. Therefore it is possible to work in an environment where there are restrictions for such issues. Also it offers a safe working environment.

Productivity
Offers the highest possible productivity due to large wedge diameter and very high splitting force. Easy for the operator to use.

Durability
Designed with minimal parts and provides precise finishing, ensuring product reliability and durability.

Accuracy
Direction of splitting and the size of the split can be determined in advanced. Offering more accuracy than explosives.

Efficiency
Explosives are not used in the rock splitting process therefore there is no risk of fly rock and removes other dangers in relation to explosives. Unlike the blasting process where shutdowns are required, the rock splitting process can be carried out continuously without any operational shutdowns. This ensures high efficiency of all onsite operational activities.

Adaptability
Can be attached to almost any kind of hydraulic excavator greater than 12-ton or a crane. The rock splitter can also be powered by a mobile powerpack and operated via remote control.
